External Links: Since its creation in 1983 by the National Centre for Social Research (formerly SCPR), the BSA survey series continues to annually monitor, interpret and divulge information regarding the British public's changing attitudes towards social, political, economic and moral issues (for example newspaper readership, political parties and trust, public spending, welfare benefits, health care, childcare, poverty and civil liberties); sample sizes range up to 3,600 people each year. The BSA survey is also interlinked with the International Social Survey Programme (ISSP), of which 25 other countries worldwide are involved.
