Datasets: English Longitudinal Study of Ageing (ELSA)

ELSA seeks to determine the overarching economic, social, psychological and health elements of the ageing process. Through studying a sample of 12,100 people over 50 every two years (with nurse visits every four years), ELSA aims to depict how people's health, economic and social circumstances change over time. Due to our current ageing population crisis, this research aims to help the Government plan ahead, in order to ensure that the UK's healthcare and pension systems will be able to meet everyone's needs.
