Datasets: Home Office Citizenship Survey (HOCS)

The HOCS, currently in its third year, is a biennial survey designed to contribute to the evidence base for the Home Office’s community policy area. Covering areas such as community cohesion, race and faith, and volunteering and civil renewal, the survey aims to serve as a major policy tool, and to provide information for Home Office performance measurement. The survey sample covers adults (over 16) in England and Wales, and comprises a nationally representative sample of around 10,000 people, and a minority ethnic booster sample of around 5,000 people.
