This was a pilot study modelled on the Detroit Arab American Study, which was run out of the University of Michigan, and was a quantitative and qualitative study of Bangladeshi Muslims in London (who were also interviewed as part of the HSE), Moroccan Muslims in Madrid (who were contacted using council records) and Turkish Muslims in Berlin (who were contacted using a sample of Turkish names from a telephone directory).
